About us

CSAB acts as a coordinating and consolidating body for religious organizations that adhere to the traditions of the main Buddhist schools and practices.

Main Goals and Objectives

Coordination and Unification: To coordinate and unify the efforts of local religious organizations for the common purpose of practicing, spreading, and strengthening Buddhism in the Russian Federation, in accordance with Buddhist teachings.

Preservation and Enhancement: To preserve and promote spiritual and cultural values within Russian society, fostering mutual understanding among different peoples.

Promotion of Buddhist Values: To contribute to the revival of Buddhist spiritual values in society.

Religious Education: To provide religious education and instruction in the principles of Buddhism to followers of Buddha’s teachings. Strengthening International Ties: To strengthen collaboration with international Buddhist organizations.

Strengthening interaction with foreign Buddhist organizations.

Representing and advocating for the interests of the religious organizations that are part of the Central Spiritual Administration of Buddhists in relations with governmental authorities of the Russian Federation, regional and municipal authorities, public and other organizations, as well as in international contacts and relations. This is aimed at ensuring their rights and enabling their activities in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
